Residents raise panhandling, wind-permit meeting, pool access and condemned-house concerns during public comment

During the public-comment period, residents raised several neighborhood concerns. Vogelsang also suggested Fostoria pursue economic opportunity related to a proposed "23 Corridor" transportation plan and asked council to explore options to attract traffic and businesses. She asked the city to pursue arrangements with the YMCA to provide discounted pool access for Fostoria students during the summer and noted the local splash pad will not be ready in time.
Vogelsang and Tyson also raised a safety concern about a condemned house at East Crocker and South Poplar whose front porch is deteriorated and accessible to children; speakers said demolition was on the city's imminent list but asked for visible barriers and trespass warnings until the structure is removed.
