The Littleton City Appeals and Adjustment Commission unanimously elected Commissioner Lavere as chair and Commissioner Eby as vice chair and certified the commission's Feb. 26, 2025 minutes during a brief meeting that included no public comments.
Those leadership votes and the minutes certification were each approved unanimously, with commissioners voting "thumbs up" on each motion. Chair Lavere announced the results, saying, "5 in favor of the motion carries unanimously." The meeting opened at 6:34 p.m. and the regular session began at 6:38 p.m.; the commission adjourned at 6:42 p.m.
The leadership ballots were conducted by nomination and motion. Commissioner Lavere was nominated and accepted the nomination; a motion to elect Lavere carried unanimously. Vice Chair Eby accepted a nomination and a subsequent motion to elect Eby as vice chair also passed unanimously. The commission certified the minutes from its Feb. 26, 2025 meeting by motion and voice vote, with the clerk noting the certification procedure.
Staff reported there have been "a couple of inquiries" but no formal applications requiring hearings, and said May would likely be too short a timeline for required public noticing. Staff noted a potential May 21 meeting date but reported a conflict that would delay one commission member's arrival and said May public notice timelines probably preclude holding a meeting that month.
Commissioner Ashley (city staff) welcomed the newest commission member, Nathan Blake, saying, "welcome to our newest commission member Nathan Blake," and reminded him that she and staff in the city clerk's office (including Wendy) are available for procedural questions.
No substantive land-use appeals, variance hearings, or public-comment items were on the agenda. With no applications pending, staff said a future meeting date will be set if and when an application is received and properly noticed.
