The Macedonia Board of Zoning and Building Code Appeals on April 16 approved a one-foot side-yard variance for a property at 727 Lehi Road, allowing a 9-foot setback where the code requires 10 feet.
The board voted to grant the variance after the city zoning inspector explained the request under section 11 63.02(d) of the city zoning code and reported that an adjacent neighbor, identified as Mr. Dorsey, had called to say he approved and had no issue. The board discussed that the house already had a 9-foot offset on other parts of the structure and that the proposed change would not extend beyond the existing footprint.
Board members moved and seconded the motion to approve the variance; the chair called a roll and announced that Case 715 had passed with the one-foot variance.
The board conducted the hearing under the Ohio Sunshine Law; the notice had been published in the city’s newspaper of general circulation and is available through the billing department, the board noted.
No conditions or further follow-up steps for the property were recorded in the meeting minutes for this item.
