Monongalia County Commission approves consent agenda, grants reimbursements, WVU Extension MOU and UTC requisition

Grant reimbursements approved included a Community Corrections grant for $18,594.99; a Community Development Block Grant request for $1,881.60; Governor's Highway Safety Program (impaired driving) for $2,973.67; Safe Communities for $216.69; and a VOCA grant reimbursement for $9,166.45. The grants office manager presented the requests and the commission approved them by voice vote.
The commission approved the annual memorandum of agreement (MOU) with the WVU Extension Service, noting the MOU is provided in accordance with West Virginia Code §19‑8‑1 and confirms county financial support for the Monongalia County WVU Extension office for fiscal year 2026. The motion carried unanimously.
The commission also approved Requisition No. 21 for the UTC series 2023A property tax district. The requisition covers administrative expenses to be paid to Step 2 and Johnson for duties on the district; the commission voted to approve the requisition by voice vote.
