District reports growth in CNA program, launches family learning modules and opens early returning registration

Doctor Dixon Seymour, presenting for Student Equity and Access, described a new set of nine family learning modules posted on the district website. The modules — covering topics that include career and education planning, project‑based learning through Project Lead The Way, libraries and AI in education — are intended as on‑demand resources for families and were developed by district educators and department directors as part of the strategic plan.
Registration and events: the district announced returning student registration will open May 1 and families were asked to complete returning registration by Aug. 1. Special programs noted a Pathway to Biliteracy recognition and upcoming family events, including an English Language Development family ice‑cream social and a special services parent information night on May 7.
Why it matters: program expansion in the CNA and additional online family resources provide more direct student opportunity and parent access to information; earlier returning registration helps the district plan staffing and enrollment counts.
