The Western Regional Water Commission voted unanimously April 16 to reappoint Michael Widmer as the domestic well owner representative on the Northern Nevada Water Planning Commission.
Kim Rigdon, WRWC staff, said Widmer has served as the domestic well owner representative for the past five years, was originally appointed in January 2020 and reappointed in 2022 for a three‑year term. "He meets all of the qualifying professional experience that's outlined in the WRWC Act and is an active participating member of the Northern Nevada Water Planning Commission," Rigdon told the commission.
Member Dewar moved to reappoint Widmer and Commissioner Taylor seconded the motion. Commissioners voted "aye" and the motion passed unanimously.
No additional conditions or changes to Widmer's duties were reported at the meeting; staff noted the Northern Nevada Water Planning Commission recommended the reappointment.
