Prattville council adopts 13-item consent agenda including nuisance abatements, licenses and reappointments; conflict-of-interest policy drew questions

The Prattville City Council adopted a 13-item consent agenda that included business license actions, nuisance abatement authorizations, reappointments to boards, surplus property transfers and a proposed conflict-of-interest policy.

Items included on the consent agenda as read into the record were: (1) authorize retail beer off-premise and retail table wine off-premise license to POS Management LLC (d/b/a ZTech Center Point); (2) appoint Paula G. Barlow as the 2025 municipal election official; (3) declare the structure at 819 Wilberforce Avenue unsafe and a public nuisance; (4) declare garbage and rubbish at 118 Overlook Drive a public nuisance and authorize abatement per Chapter 46 of the City of Prattville Code of Ordinances; (5) name the voting delegate for the Alabama League of Municipalities annual convention; (6) declare garbage and rubbish at 608 Woodvale Road…
