Votes at a glance: Lower Duwamish cleanup approved; after-hours establishments bill advances from committee

Two formal items were reported during the April 14 Seattle City Council briefing:

Lower Duwamish Valley cleanup: Councilmember Andrew Hollingsworth reported that the council voted to authorize actions related to cleanup of the Lower Duwamish Valley. Hollingsworth said the measure “authorizes the Seattle City Light, Seattle Public Utilities to be able to start the process for cleaning of the Lower Duwamish,” and stated the council passed the action "4 in favor, none opposed." The briefing did not list individual roll-call votes for that item; the council member described the result as approved. No ordinance or resolution number was read into the briefing record.

After-hours establishments bill: Councilmember Rob Kettle reported that the Public Safety Committee will not meet next week and that coming out of committee a vote was taken on the after-hours establishments bill; Kettle said the bill "will come to full council tomorrow, for a vote." Kettle did not provide the committee tally during the briefing. The matter was scheduled on the full council agenda for April 15.
