Briarreal Pizza and Wings owners introduce restaurant to Struthers, mark near one‑year

George Horvath and Mary Lynn Horvath, co-owners of Briarreal Pizza and Wings, introduced their restaurant to the Struthers City Council and described the menu, local response and the business’s opening on April 18.

“We are the owners of Briarreal Pizza and Wings,” Mary Lynn Horvath said as she and her husband spoke about the business during the council meeting. George Horvath said the restaurant has been “open almost year, April 18.”

The Horvaths said the restaurant offers pizza and wings as core items and also serves pepperoni rolls, french fries and occasional baked goods. Mary Lynn Horvath said she occasionally highlights “some of her baking talents with cookies, cinnamon rolls,” and the couple said they provide catering services.

George Horvath framed the restaurant as rooted in local work ethic and community support. “All through my career, everywhere we ever went, we were always recognized as people that were part flying hard,” he said, adding that that ethic was instilled in the family in Struthers. The owners said community patronage has been key to staying open and growing repeat customers.

The Horvaths urged residents to try the restaurant and return with feedback. “If you haven't tried us, come and give us a try,” George said. “You might you might find that you let something down. And if you do, we we welcome you to come back and try it again.”
