ANDALUSIA, Ala. — The Andalusia City Council on April 15 unanimously approved paying $79,800 from the city’s capital account to install street lighting along Third Avenue and granted a resident approval to operate a home daycare for up to four children.
The council also voted to approve the minutes from its April 1, 2025, meeting.
The lighting work is part of the Third Avenue Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) sidewalk and street project. Council members said the TAP grant awarded to the city did not cover street lighting, so the city advertised separately and received a bid the council…
