Council ordains change placing veteran service coordinator under new Health & Human Services director

The Malden City Council unanimously ordained Paper 157-25 to amend the city code and place the veteran service coordinator position within the reorganized Health and Human Services department.
Councilor Winslow said the measure is a "straight ordaining of the paper" requested by the mayor and intended to update the organizational structure as the health director retires. "This paper is just making that update to the role of the veteran service coordinator to make sure that they are reporting to the new director of health and human services primarily," Winslow said.
On a roll-call vote the council recorded unanimous approval. The ordinance was enrolled and ordained tonight, enabling the city to reflect the reorganization in job reporting lines while the mayor and city administration proceed with hiring for the consolidated Health and Human Services director position.
