The Kingston Select Board voted unanimously April 14 to release a request for proposals for a wage and benefits (compensation and benefits) study, with amended submission dates to accommodate the town’s schedule.
Board discussion focused on logistics: the proposal submission deadline was set for May 9, 2025; proposals will be opened May 12 and the board planned to consider an award on May 19. The RFP requires an eight-week timeline for vendor work after award and a final report presented within three months of the contract award. Board members also discussed who the consultant should contact during the work process and agreed the contract language should allow communication with a Select Board representative or the full board as needed; final decisions will still require the full board’s review.
The motion to release the RFP as amended was moved and seconded and adopted unanimously.
