Later the board approved the consent agenda after a motion by Chris Lau and a second from Khadija Islam; the chair called the voice vote and said the motion passed.
Election results and referendum: The board reported canvassed spring 2025 election results and certified them as official: Barb Wenck and Khadija Islam were reelected to three-year terms on the Board of Education. The board also noted the operational referendum failed to pass (the district administrator said it failed by 90 votes).
Closed session: The board moved into closed session under Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(c), which allows closed discussion of "considering employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data of any public employee."
