Peachtree City council voted at Thursday’s workshop to update the municipal personnel policy to require at least one performance evaluation per year for all full‑time and part‑time employees and to tie merit eligibility to completion of 12 months of continuous employment.
City Manager Dr. Tapp presented the proposed policy changes and said evaluations will cover the Jan. 1–Dec. 31 performance year and that the Human Resources director will set evaluation due dates. The updated merit policy specifies that merit increases remain subject to mayor-and-council approval through the annual operating-budget adoption.
A motion to approve the personnel-manual revisions passed on a voice vote at the workshop; staff said details will be implemented administratively by Human Resources.
