Rosen Foundation announces three-year scholarship partnership with Orange County schools

Frank Santos told the board he was representing the late Harris Rosen and the Rosen Foundation. Santos described the foundation’s Tangelo Park programs — free preschool, family support and college scholarships — as a “cradle to career” model that he said the foundation intends to sustain. He announced a new three-year scholarship program for Orange County Public Schools and said his goal is to continue the program after the initial three years.
Santos did not specify in the meeting the total dollar amount of the check he brought to the board; Chair Jacobs recounted the request for $2,500 per board member and the ceremonial presentation that followed. The board took photos with Santos and the ceremonial check.
