Water conservation and outreach for students: Nina Hanchett, who identified herself as with the Cloverdale Chamber of Congress, asked whether water-conservation video materials could be translated into Spanish. The council discussed making a short video aimed at high-school–age students and suggested playing it during advisory periods. A councilor said they would coordinate with the superintendent and with JCAR (referenced in the meeting) to set up school viewings.
Toilet leak test distribution: A council member said the city will provide free toilet dye tablets at City Hall starting the next day so residents can test for silent toilet leaks, a common cause of high water bills. Staff described the test process—placing a tablet in the tank, waiting 15 minutes and checking for color in the bowl—and encouraged annual testing.
