The Glendale Common Council approved a resolution dedicating a public right-of-way extension on Braeburn Lane after staff and a property owner negotiated an agreement to restore public access. City staff explained a prior vacation left a driveway access issue for a property at 7345 Braeburn Lane; the property owner agreed to convey the needed right-of-way back to the city in exchange for the city repairing the end of the roadway.
Staff showed exhibits of the former and revised right-of-way lines and said the dedicated strip will provide space for snow plowing and other maintenance operations. The council approved the resolution by voice vote on a motion from Alderman Gellhart, seconded by Alderman Bailey.
Staff said the conveyance returns a previously private area to municipal maintenance and allows the city to proceed with standard operations at that end of Braeburn Lane.
