Volusia medical examiner reports drop in overdose deaths, shorter turnaround times

Dr. James Fulcher, Volusia County chief medical examiner, delivered the office’s annual report at the April 15 council meeting and said overdose deaths in 2024 fell roughly 10% compared with the prior year.
