Council approves solar procurement and several change orders for public safety center; project remains on schedule

Sean Lewis and John McNamara updated the council on construction of the new public safety center, reporting that finishes such as acoustical ceilings, tile and casework are now being installed and that the project remains “on schedule and within budget.” Lewis said the design for the solar array is nearly complete and asked council to approve a change-order authorization to procure panels and equipment and add the scope to the prime contract so ArchKey (local subcontractor) can be the installing partner.
