District unveils slate of school and district administrative appointments

Davis School District presented a broad slate of administrative appointments during Tuesday’s meeting, introducing newly assigned principals, assistant principals, administrative interns and district directors. Superintendent Dan Linford prefaced the presentations and explained the district used prerecorded introductions to give every appointee a chance to speak.
The list of named appointees included new principals and administrative interns across elementary, junior high and high school levels. Examples drawn from the introductions: Julie Barlow (incoming principal, Woods Cross Elementary), Elizabeth Jensen (incoming principal, Joseph Cook Elementary), Greg Mudrow (incoming principal, West Point Elementary), Jennifer Poole (incoming principal, Antelope Elementary), Clayton Reed (incoming principal, Windridge Elementary), Janie Stubbs (incoming principal, Canyon Creek Elementary), Mike Volmar (principal, Muir Elementary), and numerous administrative interns and assistant principals assigned across the district’s secondary and elementary schools. District leaders also named new district-level positions, including a Community Schools and Title I director (Tiffany Tuck), a Title IX coordinator (Danielle Summers), and new secondary school directors (Diane Capitano and Chris Keim).
Superintendent Linford said the district received hundreds of applications for administrative roles and thanked families who appeared in many of the prerecorded segments. He described the set of appointments as an important step in preparing buildings for the next school year.
The board did not take separate, roll-call votes on the prerecorded introductions during the meeting. The announcements were informational presentations of accepted assignments.
