In president’s comments, Village President Matt told residents that DuPage Public Service Communications (DuComm) has gone live with text-to-911 service. He said residents on Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile or DISH Wireless can text their exact location and nature of emergency to 911 when they cannot speak and that calling remains preferable because it is faster and more reliable.
Matt also announced Hinsdale’s sixth annual Restaurant Week will run Friday, April 25 through Sunday, May 4. The week showcases local restaurants offering special menus and drinks; the village website will post details.
The president encouraged residents to use the new DuComm service when necessary and noted more information is available on DuComm’s website.
