HDC approves Essex Green trim for 32 Main Street storefront

Adrian Rodriguez, representing the property owner, told commissioners the request covers the first‑floor storefront area; the existing balustrade and upper‑story features are not part of the change. Mickey Rowland representing the Historic Structures Advisory Group said the group reviewed staff comments and did not oppose the change. Commissioners agreed the proposed color is already in use nearby and does not harm the streetscape.
The commission voted to approve the color change as submitted; commissioners clarified the permit covers the storefront trim and adjacent first‑floor doorway noted in the packet, and that the balustrade and second‑floor elements would remain the existing yellow.
