Sun Prairie Area School District seeks approval for $431,100 Central Heights Middle School roof replacement

Operational Expectation 12 requires the superintendent to receive board approval before projects over $250,000 can proceed; Warwick said that threshold is the reason he brought the project forward for board action. He identified Kashuk Roofing Incorporated as the lowest bidder and recommended awarding the contract to them. "Kashuk Roofing Incorporated is the lowest bidder and should be awarded the contract," Warwick said.
Plans shown to the board marked the base-bid roof areas and two alternate-add areas. Warwick described specific roof areas labeled on the district map as 28, 30 4, 30 5 and 40 1 as part of the base bid and described the alternate-add groupings shown in different colored boxes on the slide. He said work would begin after the end of the school year and be completed before the next school year begins.
Warwick directed board members to a situation report in the meeting packet for more project detail and offered to answer questions by email or phone. The presentation in the transcript did not record a formal vote or board decision; Warwick said he was "bringing this forward for Board action."
