Laredo Commission for Women praises March conference, thanks sponsors and sets next meeting dates

Esther announced an April 7 City Council appointment of Lanca Ramirez to the commission by Council member Ricardo Arzam; commissioners said they had confirmed the appointment with the council office but noted Lanca Ramirez had not yet taken the oath and therefore cannot participate in commission business until that step is completed.
On program planning, the commission designated Lupita Ramirez as program committee chair and asked her to convene the committee to select the next two speakers.
