The Natrona County School District Academic Steering Committee reported progress on strategic plan goals for safe and healthy environments and effective operations, presenting climate-survey results and school-safety planning work.
District staff said the climate survey collected 9,856 responses across staff, parents/guardians and students in grades 4–12, and that 11 of 15 subcategories showed increases. The committee described the district’s comprehensive school-safety approach using an S-A-F-E framework: systems and training; assessment and planning; facilities and personnel; and engagement and communication. Principals from Evansville, Summit and Oregon Trail described how they analyze school-level survey data to guide goal teams and interventions.
On operations, the committee reported about 400 net responses on a customer-satisfaction survey with an overall 90% satisfaction rate. Associate Superintendent Rose briefed trustees on upcoming annual contracts for counseling and special-education services.
Trustees were asked to use survey data to align strategies in the strategic plan and to celebrate areas of success while identifying growth needs.
