Suspect arrested after four tires taken from Mount Vernon car lot

The sergeant detained the subject and located a separate vehicle on a jack and blocks with all four tires removed. Officers recovered the tires and returned them to the car lot. The spokesperson said the subject was arrested on charges including second-degree theft and possession of a weapon and a controlled substance.
The suspect told officers, “I was waiting over there and wasn't exactly sure what the address was. Walked out of my car to go see if I could find him. Who's your friend? Who's your friend? Off road,” according to the department's recap.
The department did not provide the suspect's name or the precise month for the 16th incident. The spokesperson described the incident as part of the department's monthly recap and said the tires were returned to the business.
