Teton School Board elects Ray as new chair after incumbent steps down

Board members said the change was intended to ensure the board chair could commit the time necessary for the role. The nomination motion was made by Jenny (board member) and seconded by another trustee; the board approved Ray by voice vote.
The outgoing chair told the board they had discussed the shift with Ray and thanked trustees for their service and patience during the transition. Trustees did not attach conditions to the change and did not schedule a separate vote to formalize any other leadership roles at that time.
The reorganization was taken at the start of the meeting before the rest of the agenda; trustees said the change was intended to preserve continuity while the district completes a planned superintendent search.
