Transportation committee adds no-parking restriction on Cheltenham Place; one abstention recorded

The Transportation and Road Improvement Committee voted April 14 to approve an ordinance amendment to municipal code section 6-21(a) adding additional no-parking restrictions on Cheltenham Place in Area 1960.
Alan (staff) described the request as similar to prior requests in the same area and said the criteria for adding restrictions had been met. Committee members discussed the usual community requests and noted the village maintains similar restrictions elsewhere.
A motion to approve the ordinance amendment was made, seconded and passed. One committee member recorded an abstention; the committee otherwise voted in favor of the change.
The committee received the transportation division monthly report and the item will be published as adopted in the municipal code update process.
