Planning commission staff presented HCCPA 24-33 (text amendment) and its companion map amendment HCCPA 24-34, saying the application meets criteria for urban expansion under the county's comprehensive plan, including adjacency to the existing urban boundary and the availability of public utilities in the immediate area. Planner Jillian Massey briefed commissioners on the site's location, the required public-utility connection if approved and that agency reviewers had raised no objections in the staff packet.
