Stacy, probation department staff, told the Public Safety Committee her office temporarily relocated to the county Emergency Operations Center while the Quartz Building received painting and carpeting.
"The amount of work that went on from the maintenance crew, the cleaning staff, and the IT department to make that work was amazing," Stacy said. She described the move as efficient: the work was expected to take two weeks but was completed in about a week and the department returned without problems.
"There was a lot of teamwork. There was a lot of communication. It was astounding to see an entire department get picked up, relocated, and returned with no issues, no problems, and no concerns," Stacy said. She specifically thanked Kevin Lally for allowing the department to use his room in the Courts Building during the relocation.
Committee members acknowledged the report; no formal action was taken.
