The presentation promoted the Tulip Festival Street Fair in April, saying it will feature more than 200 artisans, live music and food. Staff announced an Earth Day celebration on April 26 at Edgewater Park that will include an ivy‑pulling contest, live animals and trail‑mix making. The city also invited residents to a children’s day/book day at the library and noted folklorico performers will appear Sunday, May 4, as part of downtown Cinco de Mayo activities.
No permits, funding allocations or formal approvals for the mural or events were announced during the remarks; the statements were presented as community programming updates and event promotion.
