Garfield Heights High reports academic gains, increased CVCC enrollment and new STEM offerings

John Townsend, principal of Garfield Heights High School, told the school board on April 14 that the high school improved its state rating and expanded career and college pathways for students.
"I am John Townsend. I'm proud principal here at Garfield Heights High School," Townsend said as he opened the school's update. He said the building serves "almost 1,200 students" with about "80 staff members," and described a jump from a two-star to a three-star state rating based on academic progress and benchmarks.
