ADRC tracking database delayed; senior resource center roof project and staffing updates reported

Sawyer County Health and Human Services staff reported April 8 that the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) is experiencing problems with a new tracking database and that management of the agency resource directory has been pushed back to the county.
Staff said the ADRC continues to provide walk‑in and referral services for long‑term care and dementia support: five family consults, two memory screens and outreach at the Wise County Library. Elder benefit specialists reported 18 referrals, 182 contacts, six walk‑ins and 12 office visits in the reporting period.
The Senior Resource Center has selected the Bajor Company to replace roofs at its Stone Lake and Hayward locations, funded by money raised at a February fundraiser. On staffing, staff reported that an employee named Hink has submitted retirement plans and that the county will need to fill the position by June. Another staff member (Rose) has been absent about two weeks; county staff said they have contracted help providing roughly 15–20 hours per week to support adult protective services cases in the meantime.
Staff invited questions and said recruitment for open positions is underway.
