Commission pulls 533 West High from developer, will relist with Low Miller Real Estate

Commission staff told the Lawrenceburg Redevelopment Commission that multiple proposed house plans for the parcel at 533 West High had fallen through in late-stage negotiations with a developer, and the commission has decided to pull the property back from that developer and relist it with Low Miller Real Estate. "I felt that we had, exhausted, in good faith, a tremendous amount of effort to try to get things to work there, but decided to pull that property back from, the developer and relist it with, Low Miller Real Estate," a staff member said.
Staff said the title company is processing a deed transfer back to the commission; once that is complete the property will be listed and the commission will receive proposals from new prospective buyers or developers. Staff described the timeline as quick and expedient but did not give a specific date. "Very soon. Yeah. Yeah. It'll be quick," the staff member said.
Commissioners asked whether a motion was needed; staff replied no motion was necessary at this stage because the title work is underway and the staff action will lead to relisting. No formal sale or contract award was recorded at the meeting.
