Board members postponed a planned review of a BID survey after staff reported only eight responses were returned of an expected 12. Gerry (speaker identified as a board member) said he had visited properties multiple times to collect responses and asked to table the item until he could continue follow-up.
Gerry also reported two BID board members who have not been attending meetings told him they are not interested in participation or local politics; he recommended the board address the nonparticipation. The mayor and other board members said the cleaner approach would be to ask for resignations first and, if necessary, replace the members; the mayor said he would meet with the members in person after returning from travel and asked staff to provide contact information.
Board members agreed to table the survey discussion until the next meeting after additional outreach and to report back on potential replacements for the two disengaged seats.
