The Wickliffe Planning Commission sent a recommendation to council after a public hearing on April 3 to rezone a parcel described as 2924 Oakwood Avenue (part of parcel number 290007000040) from General Business and a portion of R‑1‑60 to Multifamily.
The Planning Commission's letter, prepared and signed by Patrick McGraw, the commission chairman, was read into the council record and referred to council for consideration. Council scheduled a public hearing on the rezoning request for May 14 at 7 p.m. at the Senior Community Center.
The council announcement noted that the request will follow the procedures required in Chapter 13.41 of the Wickliffe codified ordinances, including required public notices and hearings. No vote on the rezoning was taken at the April 14 council meeting; the public hearing is the next formal step in the review process.
Development and platting matters related to Old School Way were discussed in committee; engineers and the building commissioner reported the developer will address infrastructure and common-area maintenance via HOA provisions stated in the plat.
