The Whitestown Plan Commission approved the primary plat for the southeast portion of Beckman Park, a residential section of a larger mixed-use planned-unit development (PUD).
Kimley‑Horn engineer Bridal Huff and developer Adam Braun said the primary plat covers a portion of the previously approved Beckman Park PUD and includes a mix of single-family lot sizes — 75-foot, 65-foot, 50-foot and 40-foot rear-load lots — across the section. Adam Braun said Hallmark Homes will be one confirmed builder for the section and the project is intended as semi-custom home construction.
Staff reviewed the application and recommended approval, stating the primary plat complies with UDO section 9.2 and aligns with the comprehensive plan's residential designation. Commissioners asked questions about lot sizes and buffers along Sienna Way; staff confirmed the larger lots are along the northern buffer and Hallmark Homes will build in the section. The commission approved the primary plat on a voice vote; seven commissioners were present at roll call.
With the approval, the developer may proceed with subsequent subdivision and construction steps identified in the PUD schedule and the town's subdivision regulations.
