Councilor Campbell expressed similar transparency concerns but said he would support the nomination because leaving a vacancy would not address those process concerns.
The roll call produced eight yes votes and two no votes with two members absent; the chair recorded the motion as passing. Prinzing Jones’s term begins May 1, 2025, and expires April 30, 2029.
