After legal edits to the services section of the agreement were completed, the board moved and seconded approval; a roll-call vote recorded unanimous approval.
The board later approved a motion to continue funding the probation services counselor position that the board previously funded, and to provide the required matching funds for the sheriff's COPS unit. That motion also passed on a roll-call vote.
Board members did not debate revisions to either item at length during the meeting. The advertising contract will proceed to the commission level for signature by the mayor's office before work begins. The probation position and the COPS unit funding will remain in the departments' budgets for the current fiscal year per the board motion.
