Lake Dallas ISD Police Chief Chad Springer conducted the swearing-in. District leaders highlighted Sergeant Smith’s experience supervising school resource officers and said they expect his background to be an asset as the district grows its safety operations. There was no board vote associated with the swearing-in; it was a ceremonial personnel action.
