Muskego Lake District deputy reports winter ice, osprey platform losses and discusses property acquisition; commissioner proposes honor-system launch fees

Deputy Commissioner Pylock told the Muskego Lake District Board of Commissioners on Jan. 23 that winter conditions have brought ice to the district's waterbodies, several osprey nesting platforms need repair or replacement, and the district recently closed on the Leonard property with assistance from the city.
The update provided a snapshot of the lakes ahead of spring: “we finally got winter. So as far as, ice on the lakes, we got about a foot on Big Muskego Lake of ice, and there's probably about 7 to 8 inches on Bass' Bay,” Pylock said.
