Lincoln Public Schools honors three world‑language teachers with statewide awards

Colleen Rosenbach, named 2024 Nebraska German Teacher of the Year by the Nebraska Association of Teachers of German and the Nebraska International Languages Association, was recognized for her work at Southeast High School and Skoll Middle School. The board adopted a congratulatory resolution signed by the board president and the interim superintendent.
Terry Diamond, recognized as the 2024 Nebraska French Teacher of the Year by the Nebraska International Languages Association and the Nebraska Association of Teachers of French, was honored for her work at Standing Bear High School; Diamond said language teaching is about relationships and broadening students’ horizons.
Each recognition was presented in the form of a board motion and approved by roll call during the meeting; attendees offered brief remarks and the board recessed to continue the agenda.
