The City of Montgomery City Council on March 25 approved the consent agenda items covering council workshop minutes (Jan. 29), regular meeting minutes (Feb. 11), a resolution on salvaged property disposal, and other routine matters. Items 5 through 7 on the agenda were accepted as presented.
Council also accepted multiple departmental reports for February 2025, including reports from the Police Department, Municipal Court (collections report), Finance (month end), Engineering, Public Works, Utilities, and billing. During departmental reports council members asked questions about new police vehicles and camera systems, Municipal Court collections increases, water plant operations and meter testing, and an ongoing retailer sales-tax audit.
A motion to accept the departmental reports as presented was made and seconded; council voted to accept the reports. The meeting then moved into an executive session under Texas Government Code section 551.074 to discuss personnel matters for the city administrator.
