The Village Board of the Village of Hartland approved several Park & Recreation items during its Dec. 9 meeting, including two special events, a software rollout to manage field reservations, a small equipment purchase, and an increase to court reservation fees.
The board approved a Kiwanis proposal to run nine Thursday-night "ice games" at the Nixon Park rink in January and February and waived the associated application and rental fees. Jim Minzenberger, speaking for Kiwanis, said the nights would be 6–8 p.m., use a portion of the rink, provide hot chocolate and simple organized games and carry no participant fee.…
