Staff explained the village performs sewer cleaning on a three-year cycle and televises lines to identify issues ahead of utility projects. Visio Sewer submitted the lowest qualified proposal, with cleaning at $0.42 per linear foot and televising at $1.35 per linear foot. Menema told trustees that a two-person crew charging $295 per hour will be used where access is from the road; sites not street-accessible require a three-person crew at $415 per hour. Staff said the work will avoid areas recently televised and will prioritize older mains and problem areas revealed during prior work.
Trustees moved and seconded the award and approved it by voice vote; staff will monitor work and include any needed repairs in the capital improvement plan for future projects.
