Board approves multiple equipment purchases, contracts and final payments totaling several hundred thousand dollars

The Board of Public Works and Capital Assets voted on multiple motions Feb. 11, 2025, approving equipment purchases, vendor contracts and final payments tied to the city’s capital-improvement program.

The board approved the purchase of audio/video conferencing equipment for $18,255.31 to add videoconferencing capability to a city meeting room. Brent Miller, assistant IT director, said the purchase would “add audiovideo conferencing capability for meetings to enhance the capabilities of the room.”

The board approved purchase of a Can-Am utility terrain vehicle (UTV) and related equipment in the amount of $53,386 to replace a 2003 John Deere ATV. Mike Kressick said the UTV will allow the department “much more flexibility in terms of being drivable from a station to a location.”
