The Oak Creek Plan Commission on Feb. 25 recommended that the Common Council rezone a city-owned parcel at 10523 South Howell Ave. from A-1 limited agricultural to M-1 Manufacturing District to incorporate the site into the Oakview Business Park planned unit development.
Christie (staff member) said the city purchased the parcel in December, the previous house on the site was demolished, and rezoning is intended to prepare the corner parcel for future business-park development. Staff said the rezoning is consistent with the comprehensive land-use plan, which designates the parcel for business-park uses.
A public hearing for the rezoning could be scheduled as early as March 31, Christie said. Commissioners had no substantive questions; the commission voted to recommend the rezoning amendment after discussion.
