Clerk Matt Reynolds (title: Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller) told the board he plans to post his office’s budget online and voluntarily cooperate with the governor’s review. County Administrator J.R. Grimes and other staff supported the idea and offered to lead by example, noting recent clean audit results and few or no audit findings.
Commissioner Larry Harvey and other commissioners said they supported the voluntary review and urged transparency; the motion to draft the letter passed by voice vote.
