Community member reports growth in Clearfield community-center programs and clothing closet

"Last group we graduated six mothers," the speaker said, and added that the center now has about 16 mothers attending Saturday programs. The speaker also described a "Welcome Baby" home-visiting program for children ages 0 to 3, a "Learning Through Play" series, Head Start/Early Start offerings and ongoing family supports.
On the community closet, the speaker said, "from August to December, we've been able to pass out 6,500 items," and said the goal is to grow programming and provide more support to students and parents in Clearfield. After public comment concluded, the council closed the public hearing and proceeded with the agenda.
