City staff described the 300 North work as a mill-and-fill reconstruction that will add sidewalk where it is currently missing to improve pedestrian connections. The countys $48,500 will be paid as a reimbursement after Clearfield completes and pays for the work, staff said.
The Depot Street extension project had already completed construction; staff said the city applied for county funds before construction finished and the county awarded $266,000 as part of its original $1.5 million commitment made in 2020. The council recorded unanimous roll-call approval on both interlocal agreements and authorized the mayor's signature on necessary documents.
The motions to approve each resolution were moved and seconded on the record; roll call votes listed Council Member Rachford, Council Member Worth (Wirth/Worth spelling appeared in the record), Council Member Petersen and Council Member Roper as voting yes on the 300 North item, and Council Members Wirth, Rochford, Roper and Petersen voting yes on the Depot Street item.
